So, I haven't posted on here in a long time, but I was busy with finishing up college so pipe down!
As previously stated, I am now a Truman State University Allum (but they won't be getting any of my, as of right now, non-existent money for a long time)! It feels good but at the same time I am terrified. The job market looks like the Sahara desert right now. I met with Marc Chechik this past week, a fellow St. Stephen's parishioner and graphic designer and had him check out my portfolio. He said my stuff was really solid, with just a few tweaks I can make here and there. He also said I need to do one or two more complete branding projects like my Gravity stuff, since as a whole the stuff I have now is just one unit. A portfolio of just one thing won't get me very far. So I've got a lot of work ahead of me this summer.
I have another meeting this Tuesday with John Neibling, another graphic designer who works for XG-ad here in St. Louis. I really like their stuff and I am VERY exited to go and check out their studio when I visit. I hope to get some good feed back and get my name to some talented designer folks.
I need to find ideas for projects to do for myself this summer. hmmm...
Well I think that's enough for this post. More to come soon, but this weekend Cherish is coming into town so I'm not getting any work done.
Cheers!
